I've waited six, long years to see Paul Simon appear on an episode of Saturday Night Live, and it finally happened on the night of 11/4/2000.
I loved the skits (Buena Vista Social Club, A Glimpse into the Future, Blair Witch II with Circe Nightshade and Azrial Abyss, and the second installment of The New Adventures of Mr. T which was made during the commercial actors strike), including the Buena Vista Social Club. Lorne saved that one for last because the skit features a couple members of the Saturday Night Live Band: Alex Foster (alto Saxaphone) and Shawn Pelton (Drums). It's not everyday that you see a skit featuring ANYONE from the SNL Band, but I've waited a few years to see this happen again.
On a lighter note, I've enjoyed the Buena Vista Social Club and Dancer audition (with the DeMarco Bros.) starring Paul Simon. I hope that the Calista Flockheart show will have a lot more spunk.
