CALLIE'S EPISODE REVIEW:
DECEMBER
9, 2000
Val
Kilmer/ U2
I've enjoyed
watching Val Kilmer (Top Secret, Thunderheart, Batman Forever,
Red Planet) host Saturday Night Live. Even the musical guest, U2,
really blew me away.
Even they did a VH1 Behind the Music parody with Val as Jim
Morrison and a fictious band with all of late musicians.
(Horatio's Keith Moon was time in a bottle.)
Later on in the episode, there was a saxaphone player sitting in
with the SNL Band. I didn't get his name, but at least I saw him
twice before the show ended for the night.
U2 blew me away. During their second performance, Bono left the
stage with a cordless mike and greeted everyone. (even SNL
Bandleader Lenny Pickett.) I was expecting that they perform a
classic song such as One or Sunday, Bloody, Sunday, but it IS
their first time on SNL, so I'd let it pass.
I can't wait until next week's show with Lucy Liu and Jay-Z. It's
the Christmas show!
