show on TV (26 years) with the highest ratings. This is most
likely due to the fact that SNL has different guest
hosts and musical guests each weekend. People don't want to see
the same thing each week, they need variety.
If you notice now, Mad TV is also copying SNL by having a host and musical guest...and they still aren't as good as SNL.
