Darrell Hammond
Darrell Hammond joined the cast of Saturday Night Live on September 30, 1995. Hammonds recurring characters include Joe Blows father and a prankster who occurs on different Spanish teleivision programs. Hammonds impressions include Captain Lou Albano, Rene Angeli, Tom Brokaw, Bill Clinton, Sean Connery, Bob Costas, Al DAmato, Rodney Dangerfield, Phil Donahue, Sam Donaldson, Hugh Downs, Richard Dreyfus, Jerry Falwell, Dennis Franz, Frank Gifford, Newt Gingrich, Al Gore, Jesse Helms, Alfred Hitchcock, Jesse Jackson, Ted Koppel, Jay Leno, Rich Little, Trent Lott, Jon Lovitz, Verne Lunquist, Jerry Mathers, Chris Matthews, Issac Mizrahi, Jack Nicholson, Don Pardo, Jack Perkins, Dan Rather, Tim Russert, Marge Schott, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Robert Stack, Billy Bob Thornton, John Travolta, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In April 1997, Hammond was applauded in the media for his dead-on impression of President Clinton. This was during a surprise appearance with the real President Clinton at an event before thousands of government officials and members of the Washington Press Corps.
For the last several years, Hammond has been performing stand-up comedy and impressions in New York and throughout the country. His vocal talents can be heard in The King And I.
Hammond's telivision credits include Late Night with Conan OBrien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, The Hollywood Squares, MTV, Showtime, Comedy Central, VH-1 and A&Es Comedy on the Road.
Darrell Hammond is a proud resident of the Hells Kitchen area of Manhattan. His birthday is October 8.
