MICHAEL'S EPISODE REVIEW:

DECEMBER 9, 2000
Val Kilmer/ U2

AL GORE'S SPEECH TO THE NATION
This sketch was alright. When I first heard Don Pardo announce that there was going to be a message from the Vice President, I thought that it would be amazingly funny. However, it was a little boring. Chris Parnell looked exactly like Leiberman.

MONOLOGUE
This was hilarious. I loved how Clearance (Darrell Hammond) came in and showed Val Kilmer around the studio! It was great!!!

WADE BLASINGAME COMMERCIAL
This was totally funny. I loved this commercial. The best part was when Chris Parnell started to take a dump on the ground.

VH1 BEHIND THE MUSIC: THE DOORS
This sketch was so funny. My favorite part was when Jesus Christ said: "Oh, my Dad." That was histarical!!! I also loved: "But offstage things were falling apart is a trademark of VH1.

PALM BEACH
Ok, to start off...Ana Gasteyer's Katherine Harris impression is great! She looks just like Katherine. I thought that this sketch was histarical and I love how Will Ferrell was screaming "Where are all the grown-ups?" Also, Darrell Hammond really truly does a great impression of Al Gore. This is the first sketch where I actually saw Darrell laugh during a sketch!!!

VERONICA & CO.
Let me just tell everyone that I think that Molly Shannon looks very pretty with her hair long. However, what was the point of sketch? I didn't understand it. But, I think that Chris Parnell's robotic impression was amazing. He's so good at acting like a robot.

U2
I never thought that I would like U2's music but it is pretty good!! I thought that they did a good job!

WEEKEND UPDATE with JIMMY FALLON & TINA FEY
WU was so funny this week. I didn't like the segment "I have an opinnion". That could have been cut. However, there were some really good jokes. I also loved Jesse Jackson (Darrell Hammond) and Al Sharpton (Jerry Minor) appearing on WU. That was the best part of WU this week. WU has improved soooo much since Colin left.
A

ICEMAN: THE LATER YEARS
This sketch was so funny. I was laughing histarically when Val took off his glasses and there was another pair underneath them. I also loved the part when he was confusing Ana Gasteyer about the coffee. Was Tom Kazanski suppossed to be gay because he wanted to take a shower with Will and Chris.

SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
This was a weird sketch. What was the point of it?? I thought that the funniest part was Tracy Morgan just running in place. But, was Jimmy Fallon supposed to be acting the way he was?? It was very weird, but funny.
A-

U2
That was a pretty cool song. I love how Bono ran around the studio singing. We got to see all of the props and sketches that they were setting up for. It was great!!
B+

A CRAZY DINNER
This was also a weird sketch. Molly Shannon really acts that way in life I think. She's weird in interviews and she acts like that in a lot of sketches. I didn't think it was that funny though.
B

BURT BACKARACK
I didn't understand this sketch....at all!!! What was so funny about it?? I'm so confused. If anyone knows...please email me!!
C-

CORN CHIP NAIL TIP COMMERCIAL
Repeat commercial!! Just for time I guess. I thought that the commercial was pretty funny.

OVERALL
This SNL was pretty good, but I hope that Lucy Liu and Jay-Z really pull off a great show next week!!!!
